With all the unknowns and unanswered questions that exist regarding adoptiong in Ethiopia right now, I have worked hard this week to focus on what I know.
I know that while there are many unknowns with adoption right now...I serve a God who has no unknowns.
I know that God's timing is perfect and that mine is no.
I know that God is in control of all of this...and is bigger than all those involved.
I know that we have been called to adopt and that God will bring this journey to completion in His time.
I pray for all those that are dealing with this delay....for the millions of children that need a family. I pray mostly that Danny and I would continue to glorify God in our response to the unknowns and in our journey to bring our little one home.
We have been humbled by the support of all of you as we sell our shirts to help raise money. We would covet your continued prayers not only for our fundraising but for this whole process. May all the we do and say bring glory and honor to God.

Adoption Timeline
August 2010- Read " Radical" by David Platt and "Adopted for Life" by Dr. Moore...began praying about adoption
September 2010- Both felt like we were being called to expand our family through adoption
October 19, 2010- Attended the informational meeting at Bethany Christian Services...filled out preliminary application that night
October 31,2010- Recieved formal application in mail and began working on all that was needed to complete it
November 18, 2010- Opened adoption checking account and deposited $1900- from donations and selling things
December 7, 2010- Turned in first part of homestudy to agency
January 4, 2011- Made another deposit into adoption checking account- now have $7500
January 11, 2011- Had our individual interviews
January 12, 2011- Had our couples interview
January 20, 2011- Had our home visit
February 8, 2011- Homestudy sent in for approval
March 4, 2011- Homestudy Approved
T-Shirts picked up
March 9, 2011- Fingerprinting application mailed in
March 10, 2011- Have already sold 100 shirts...placing another order today
March 31, 2011- Had fundraiser dinner at Pizza Inn with another family adopting...made $300
April/May- Continued to work at getting our dossier put together, went to Nashville for fingerprinting
End of May- Recieved email about children now available in China
June 6, 2011- Emailed our agency saying we would be interested in being matched with one of these children
June 23, 2011- Received a phone call saying that we had been matched with a little boy
September 21, 2011- Dossier to agency
September 28, 2011 (or close to it)- Dossier arrived in country
October 25, 2011- Log In Date
November 2011- Had online auction with another family and raised over $2,000
December 2011- Were informed we had been awarded a grant from Brittanys Hope
January 20, 2012- LOA arrived in the mail...Sam is officially ours
January 2012- Were informed that we had been awarded a grant from the Show Hope foundation
March 8, 2012- Another fundraiser at Pizza Inn...we raised $300
March 13, 2012- Article Five is issued
March 27, 2012- We were given our invitation to travel...we leave on May 2nd
